"So, tell me again, what happened?" Brandon asked. A friend made through a quick duel. Fried had dispatched him easily with his new cards, but something about his attitude was appealing. They had met in the cafeteria after all was said and done to hang out.
"Professor Takerou put an announcement on the P.A. I was taking all challengers." Fried answered.
"And what was the special condition?" Brandon nudged.
"I didn't get my life points reset after a duel. I just had to keep going."
"And how'd that turn out?"
"17 wins, 0 losses. I don't think I ever dipped below 5600."
"So...you're not in Obelisk Blue because...?" Brandon smiled.
"Hell if I know." Fried returned the smile.

But there was more in the duels then he had let on. Every card played, and every summon executed, Fried had put his heart and soul into. To find true power, he had to play with all he had.
"What if all I have isn't good enough...?" The question circled through his head more than once during his duel-a-thon.
But those thoughts were quickly dismissed after each win. But even still, he felt an uneasyness. In the deck, lied the Fallen Angels. The Darklords. Their power was great, and worked well for combo's, but every play gave him an...odd feeling.
But even past that, he felt relief every time Athena made an appearance on the field, stealing center stage.
He thought to himself, "If I'm ever going to get stronger; I need to...."

"Sorry, Brandon," He said aloud, "Somethings come up."
"No prob, you got my number. Duel ya later!" Brandon said back.
"Later." Fried said, waving his hand as he rushed out of the cafeteria and down the hallway. With the thought of getting stronger, every thought of the night prior rushed into his head. Thoughts of Zubaba, the Knights, and even Draco.
"I should probably visit him..." Fried said to himself, turning down the dormitories and heading into the outside area.
"What's the quickest way to the penthouse..." He sighed to himself...

Draco yawned, looked at the clock, and sighed, another day had begun. He got up and went to take a shower.

---15 minutes later----

Having taken his shower, and brushed his teeth, Draco started to get dressed.
He put on his black T-shirt, his black jeans, and his custom made academy jacket.
It was mostly like the others, high collar, flapping trail, but Draco's was purple and black, he also had different straps,and purple flame motives were sewn into the bottom.

Draco liked that coat, it was his favorite colors, purple, and black, grabbing his deck and duel disk, he went for the door to go get some food at the cafeteria.

Catching him at the door, Fried locked eyes with Draco.

"...Sup...?" He asked, "Oh! Right. Um...sorry about how I acted yesterday. I'm ready to strike against the SOC with you and Kasuke!" Fried said, with a grin stretching from ear to ear

-hmm, well it is nice to know that you are on board, i am about to go eat, would you like to accompany me? though we'd better not speak of these matters too much out of our quarters.

With that, Draco started in the direction of the cafeteria.

Omega was exploring campus when his duel spirit contacted him.
I found someone.
“Good, hopefully we can end this soon, where are there?”
In one of the academy’s suites. The owner is Draco.
Omega nodded thoughtfully.” Is he on the society’s side or not?”
That is unknown, came the reply, all I know is he has potential.
“That doesn’t help…” Omega sighed. “Is he the only one we can catch him off guard.”
No, another person with incredible potential is also headed there as well. Omega gritted his teeth. Of course it was one of these days.
Oh well let’s see what these guys have got! Omega thought as he headed for the suite.
As Omega approached the suite Shien called to him
Those are the potentials I sensed.
Omega glanced up to see Athena shining above one of the boys. “Hey, you!” Omega called. The boy in question turned from the doorway to him. Omega activated his duel disk. I got a few questions, mind if I borrow some of your time?”

Draco looked at the new arrival, he looked familiar..

I know i saw him somewhere before, but i can't quite remember, i mustn't have taken a shot of him, though...if he is who i think he is....how did he escape?

-Well Freid, this'll be an excellent opportunity to show me your new power, as well as your resolve.

"Athena...?" Fried asked.
"He's strong. He can also see me." Athena answered without surprise.
"Guess that seals it." Fried said, getting his duel disk out, "Questions like what?!"

having seen the outcome of the duel, Draco turned, and went to the cafeteria, turning around before he left.

-Fried, i don't trust him, don't associate with him, i fear he may have ulterior motives.

With that, Draco left to get some breakfast.

After letting a sigh out, Fried almost knocked the Penthouse door down himself.

"Meet me at room 506, Ra Dorm. I trust you enough to be there in 15 minutes. I need to take care of something. The door will be unlocked." Fried said, moving down the hallway and away from Omega.

Near the docks a boy dressed in a blood red cloak looked up towards duel academy.
Hey Trident, give me an update, is he in this forsaken looking place?
A transparent Trident Dragon seemed to appear over the boy and it lifted its head as if sensing for something.
I am sensing now
" Odd thing about duel spirits, nobody can see or hear them if they don't have one of their own " thought the boy as he looked up at his dragon.
Just then the dragon left out a ear-splitting roar.
I found him! He is inside that building over there!
The boy known as Zero grinned. Finally something was going right for once in his life.
"Come on!" Zero shouted, "Lets talk to Ω! I am sure he will join our cause!"
"On a side note Trident, if anyone has a duel spirit they would have heard that roar of yours" said Zero, "There goes our element of surprise
But that also means that we have an intimidation factor
"I guess you are right" said Zero.
The boy ran up toward the academy, positive that he would have the last laugh in this twisted, sick reality known as life.

Draco, kept walking, he had just heard a roar, he mentally asked Garunix about it.

-someone has arrived on the island, he seem powerful, but there is something about him, he seems like that fellow earlier.

-then I'll have to be weary, Draco thought, this might just complicate things greatly.

Draco walked into the cafeteria, went to the counter and got a plate of bacon, eggs, and hash-browns. Sitting down at his usual place, he looked around

"What the...freak was that?!" Fried yelled out, almost covering his ears.
"Trident Dragon..." Athena whispered.
"Who the what?" Fried said, rubbing his ear, trying to regain his sense of hearing.
"A powerful dragon. Someone almost as strong as he is would be wielding him; another potential ally?" Athena asked.
"Maybe, but he'll have to wait for later, I've got enough to do..." Fried said, still trekking through the lush forest brush around him.
"It seems he's heading for Omega. If you hurry, you can catch both of them at your room."
Fried let out a sigh, "Then this meeting won't be very long."

After walking for a few minutes, Fried came to a clearing in the forest. Heading into the middle, he pulled the Athena card from his deck.
"If you would, summon Zubaba General for me." He asked.
"Gotcha." She nodded, almost instantaneously having Zubaba arrive.
"What are we here for?" Zubaba asked, looking at Fried.
"Gram touched down on the island two days ago. Along with Baldwin and Royce."
"What are they doing here?" Athena asked, evidently as much in the dark as Zubaba was.
"For you." Fried said, pointing at the General, "This has become about more than Herobreak."
"What do you mean?" Athena asked.
"If the SoL duel's either of them, and wins, the Shadow abilities they possess could crawl through every Knight, including myself. Then it will reach the two of you. Athena, you know I can't let that happen, and you know what I'm going to ask you to do."
"Fried, you know I can't-"
"You know what's at stake, Athena!" Fried interrupted, "I'm not asking, or demanding. I'm begging you. I found the power you spoke of, but I need an avatar for it."
"Fried...He is simply...not...ready..." Athena said, "He needs time, and so do you. Return to your dorm, consult with Omega and this newly arrived."
After gritting his teeth, Fried winced, "How much more time...?"
"A few days. Afterwards...You'll be strong enough, and his body will be matured enough to be put into a deck.
"....Fine..." Fried said, returning the Athena card to his deck and walking back towards his dorm room.
"Zubaba, keep a watchful eye on Gram. If he falls, we all do..."

Omega proceeded to the dorm room as planned, gaining little to no attention. Stealth helps when escaping a corrupt facility. As he walked an ear-splitting roar sounded throughout the sky. Omega stopped wide eyed, then immediately doubled his pace toward the yellow dorm. Either the school’s speaker system was malfunctioning or Zero was on the island. Neither boded well with Omega.
“Shien, was it him?” The silence was all Omega needed for an answer. What was Zero doing here of all places? Omega shook his head, no time to worry I need more info on this society and he can help me. Omega’s eyes flickered showing an Ω symbol instead of the irises and his eyes become red. “And I need to speak with that Draco… He knows a bit too much for my liking." Omega’s iris’s return his normal shape and color. Info first, talk to potential threat later.

"You're late..." Fried said, leaning on the door as Omega came into sight.
"This is not the time, Fried." Athena warned.
"Just get in the room." He said, opening the door for Omega. After Omega entered, Fried glanced down both ends of the hallway, and up on the next floor for anyone else before closing the door. He also checked outside the windows before closing them and the blinds to ensure that the space was completely secure.

"Okay...so.." Fried started, "You can see spirits, and Athena knows more than I do, so I'll let her take over." He said, placing the Athena card between the two.

"Hello." She said, making a formal introduction, "Fried see's that you're acquainted with Card Spirits, and that's enough for him to trust you. I suppose if he trusts you, I do as well. Anyway, I've uncovered information on the Society of Light. And as it turns out...it's more than just a dueling union." Athena prompted, "It seems, there's more than just card games and duel monsters to these people. It's a religious cultivation...They believe in fusing this world with the Card Spirits, and creating a new plain of existence. One where people are as powerful as the cards they use."

"And why do they want to do that?" Omega asked.

"Unsure..." Athena sighed, "But I'll be able to get more information in the coming days. Other than that, you know the rest." Athena said, resigning into her card.

"Any questions...?" Fried asked.

Zero dashed towards the Academy following the directions that Trident gave him, and he was approaching Ω fast. He smirk became a devious smile. Other people around him gave him odd looks. All it took was a cold, hard glare to make them look away.

I don't get people, Never have, Never will

Soon enough a building in Yellow came into view
In there is Ω
Zero strode up to the yellow building only to be stopped by a student.
The student yelled at him, "Who the hell are you? You can't enter this dorm without permission!"

Zero growled, and his iris took the form of §. "I don't have time for this you low-life"
Zero activated his duel disk and inserted his deck.
The student did the same.

"Winner goes first!" yelled Zero, as he drew a card. He smirked, "I will crush you!! I activate Dragon's Ravine!"

Omega contemplated the new info. “But to fuse the human and duel world you would need massive amounts of energy. There is no way they can accumulate that much energy that quickly.”
Fried nodded. “But you are missing two major factors. One is their mind control two is the laboratory they took over.” Omega perked up. “Laboratory? Could you happen to mean Disgaea institute?”
Fried nodded, “my findings have uncovered that they plan to drain duel energy from the students as well as take over the academy.”
Omega shuddered it was a cruel plan. Take over the minds of a few and force them to duel. After harvesting the duel energy from these duels and taking over their mind the process could repeat.
Fried interrupted his thoughts. “In short we need allies. Fried considers you trustworthy enough for me to give you this info. Will you join us?” Omega rested his chin on palm then nodded. “Two heads are better than one and someone that surprised Shien with your potential has me curious at your skill.” Omega extened his hand. “The name is Omega, lets work together on this.” Omega thoughts drifted to a certain boy had seen earlier. “Oh, of its not too much trouble, who is Draco? Shien sensed him earlier as well. In short, Omega thought, is he a threat?

"Draco is..." Fried thought of the right word to use for the situation, "An outlier. He's all for stopping the SoL...but he's a bit wobbly on who he allies with. Certainly you understand..." Giving out a sigh, Fried reached for the hand Omega extended, "I'm Friedrick. Nice to meet you."

"Now that you two are acquainted, I thought you'd like to know something." Athena said, interrupting the two.
"What's up?" Fried asked.
"The source of that roar from earlier is currently dueling outside. But I think he's close to finished. You could make another ally."
"Zero..." Omega winced.
"A friend of yours?" Fried asked.
"Complicated..." Omega said, taking a step outside of the door.
"Guess I'll figure out then..." Fried said, following out the door into the hallway.

"Now I activate heavy storm to clear your back row!!" yelled Zero as he slotted the card into his duel disk. "Now I use Atum's eff to summon out Leyvaten which gets me Phalanx! I set one card. Now i Special Summon Phalanx and synchro summon a level ten monster. Come forth Trident Dragon!!!"

Trident Dragon descended to the field and roared once.

"Now I tribute my Atum and my set card for my dragon to attack 3 times in total.

"But why?" cried out the student, i only have 500 lp left!!"

Zero smiled, "How much LP will you have once i finish my attack?"

the boy looked at him strangely, "0 why?"

Zero smiled, "Because that is the amount of fucks I give!"
"Now Trident Dragon, Delta Trident Burst!!!"

Trident dragon roared and rained down fire on the opposing player. He yelled out in pain as he fell to the ground.

Zero deactivated his duel disk and looked up to see 2 people walking toward him.

Which one is Ω?

After he got an answer from Trident, he pointed at Omega, and motioned him to follow.

Omega turned to Fried. "I will talk to him."

With that Omega turned and left to follow Zero.

"Well then..." Fried said.
"Best not to intervene." Athena commented.
"Fine...What should we do now?"
"Cafeteria seems to be a good place to stir up trouble."
"Damn straight..." Fried said, walking towards the mess hall.

Having finished his breakfast, and gone back to his room, Draco thought about the day's events.

-none of this bodes well Garunix, none of this does.

-You will handle it, you always do.

-indeed, but first, what about that roar earlier, can you tell me more about it?

-it's Zero, he's here with trident dragon...

-what?!? I thought that project had been canceled, then is the duelist from earlier?

-yes, Omega....the other escapee.

-this....complicates things, i'll need to take care of them, this won't be easy...i doubt they are truly here to stop the light....even if they were, they seem to be going about it that wrong way.


Draco got up, went to observe the painting on the wall, it was the painting of a flame, a purple flame.

-burn...it's only your fate, bow down before our might.

as he whispered this, the painting slid backwards. Draco reached in, and took out an object, he would need it in the future. Walking away, the painting slid back into place. He had business to take care of.

-jeez, where the hell is this Draco person from yesterday. I really need to get some direction and whatnot for this stupid place.

Talking out loud to himself brought some small unwanted attention by people passing by him. Giggling and whispers, Atsuke continued on.

-Dancer , Do You sense his energy anywhere?...

-Yes, it's coming from down that hallway on the left, up ahead. I'm curious about the old man too.

Dancer was a spirit from the deck left to him from the old man. It was nice, He was glad that the man had left him a friend, someone he could rely on every so often.

-Thank you, you may go for now.

She Vanished back into the deck and Atsuke continued down the hall, taking a left. As he got further down the hall he felt a small hint telling him that he had reached the door to draco's room. He nodded, and procceeded to knock.
