"Zubaba...you're sure?" Fried asked hesitantly, clutching his cards in his rolled up palm.
"Positive." Zubaba replied, patting Fried's shoulder.
"You too, Machu?"
"Of course." Machu responded, almost pushing Fried forward.

They entered into the mouth of the dampened cave that laid before them. An unmarked island in the middle of nowhere. What a fitting place for the Society of Light's HQ.

Since his loss to Gram, Fried had almost morphed into a new person. He stopped at nothing to get information out of the SoL's grunts. The island's location especially.

"What makes you so certain?" Fried asked, walking through the cave, shining his flash-light.
"That four out of the nine-teen you captured lead us here, a larger number than any of the other destinations." Machu answered.
"That's still a whole hell of a lot of assuming." Fried responded, stepping around rocks; being careful not to slip.
"So...Fried...?" Zubaba started.
"Hm?" Fried raised an eyebrow.
"What's our escape plan?"
"Glad you asked." Fried said, pulling his duel disk off. After turning it on, he pressed a small button on the bottom of it, "Omega gave me this tracker chip when we landed in New Domino. He just got our coordinates. He should be here within the next 5 hours or so."
"So, what's our attack plan?" Machu asked from the side.
Fried smiled, pulling the completed Catalyst from his pocket, "Destroy the SoL. Find Gram. Find Baldwin...Find Athena."

mean while in the hallways of HDA*

Violet: So what do you think sempai?

Me: about what? *looks at her*

Violet: about our disguises silly *she smiles*

Me: meh *looks at the brown jacket for HDA that says destiny hero* but i'm not a fan of this brown jacket

Violet:Aww come on Eddie these disguises are amazing how could u not love them *she skips down the hall way and does a twirl*

Me:*I laugh* I guess this is your first time this disguise huh Vi

Violet: *she giggles* how could you tell?*she smiles*

Me: I could tell trust me

Violet: Well I guess I have to work on that*she twirls her book on her finger like a basket ball*

Me:* I take her book off her finger* Yes you do*I smile and give her back her book*

Violet:*sigh* ok sempai

(a while later)

Violet: Well well *she goes towards a door* I found it

*the sign on the door said lunch room*

Me: Finally (stomach still growling) ugh

Violet: Hmm I wonder if their open(she opens the door)

Me: good * sighs in relief*

Violet: hope they have cake

me: you always do*laugh*

*we both go in the lunch room and see that it's empty*

Violet:(she holds her hands to her mouth to project her voice) hello anybody in here

Omega looked down at his duel disc. The tracker he had given Fried had gone off and was currently tracking him in…..the middle of the Atlantic? Omega frowned. Seeing that the equipment was better than standard military equipment he doubted it was malfunctioning. How was he going to get there? Stealing boat would be easy enough but it would take hours to get to the location and even though Fried probably could handle himself he didn’t want to take chances. Omega flipped open his PDA and contacted Zero. A quick message was sent saying “meet me at the docks.”
Minutes later Omega waited as Zero came running into view. Omega relayed the information to Zero and Zero took action. “Come forth, Trident Dragon!” With a roar that shook the island Trident descended. Omega had broken open a boat and trident grabbed it up in it. Omega and Zero jumped on the dragon back and Trident flew off toward the destination. I hope he is ready for some early guests, Omega thought. Cause it at the speed we are going we are going to make in two hours.

Blue woke up from his bed and was ready for his duel with Riley Peguses son so he got up but on his duel disk and ran for the arena

"What have we here..?" Fried said, taking interest in a small shack in the middle of the islands facility.

He had been working his way through the compound for almost 2 hours now. Battling countless members of the Society of Light. He tried to get as much information off of them as possible, but they were all either the strong silent type, or the type to run from conflict.

Nevertheless, he walked into the small hub to notice filing papers, computers, and documents cluttering every space in sight.

"Looks like an info cache." Zubaba said from the side.
"Looks like you're right..." Fried said, stepping around mound after mound of paper and records, "I don't even know where to begin..."
"Maybe...he does." Zubaba commented.

Obviously in reference to the Catalyst. Not Machu either, the finished product. After the tournament, Fried learned that Machu was to serve as a leg in the race to aide Fried to create his masterpiece. And that, he did.
"You're probably right." Fried said, "Hey. Charger."
"Huh...?" Charger said, poking his head out from one of the many decks Fried kept on his person. Electricity dripped off of his oval shaped football of a head; almost as if it was in a liquid state, "What do you want?" Charger asked.
"I need you to go through these computers. Get as much information on the Society of Light as you can."
"Information pertaining to...?"
"Anything we don't already know." Fried restated.
"Gotcha." Charger laughed as he hobbled over to the computers.
"And make it fast, football head." Zubaba said from the side, mocking him in what seemed to be good fun.
"This isn't Hey, Arnold!" Charger responded, throwing a fist up at Zubaba.
"Break it up, you two." Fried interjected, annoyance hanging in his tone, "Zubaba, you're on guard duty outside of the door. Hop to it."
"Aye aye..."
"Charger, in the computers, now would be nice."
"Done and done."

It had taken almost 10 minutes, but Charger had compiled a few terabytes of data, "Jeez, this is nuts." Charger remarked.
"What?" Fried raised an eyebrow.
"These guys record EVERYTHING...From birth records to conversations between nameless grunts."
"That's a lot to analyze..." Fried said, "Mind sorting it on our way back to Herobreak?"
"I really don't want to..." Charger said.
"Well, we won't be dueling until we land...and it'd make it a lot easier on everyone."
"Everyone but me..."
"Okay. It just went from a request, to a demand." Fried scolded, "Now let's get out of here before something happens."

-Ouch..damn tree!

Atsuke rubbed his aching head. He had just fallen out of the tree he spent most of his time sleeping in. It was near noon and the skies were clear blue, birds chirping and flying freely about.

-So Dancer...Do you have any plans for today? I'm fresh out of ideas!

-why don't we just walk around and maybe have a few duels or enjoy the scenery by some ponds or something?

-Aren't you helpful! the duelist here suck! well..most of them. Friggin blue kid is so terribad! SO I GUESS that water idea thing isn't that bad...*sigh*

Atsuke and dancer started to walk away from the academy entrance.

(in front of the lake)

Me: tch damn it *stomach still growling* so hungry

Violet:jezz u should've told me that u didn't have anything to eat I would've brought a boxed lunch if *washes her face in the water of the lake*

Me:well I thought the lunch room would've been open but cause of a huge superstar is coming they had to close it down to see him!!*sighs*

Violet: I wish they were open too*looks down* I wanted cake

*we both here footsteps coming from behind us*

"Trident are we there yet?" Yelled Zero against the whipping winds
Just about, a little further and we will be at the coordinates
"Good, Ω prepare for touch down!" yelled Zero.
"Understood" said Omega as he braced for touchdown.

Trident landed on the island and dropped the boat into the water.

"Thanks Trident" said Zero as Trident returned to his card.

"Let's move" said Omega as he sprinted forward following the tracking device.

Zero nodded once and followed suit. They needed to find information here on the SoL, before it was too late.

"Oh, hey...Fancy meeting you two here." Fried said, running into Omega and his companion near the entrance to the SoL Base, "Hey Omega. And...Omega's friend. What are you two here for, again?"

“One, because you contacted me and two his name is Zero.” Omega said plainly as they moved deeper into the lab, “Now what have you found out?”

“Not much,” Fried replied, “I have all their information, but have yet to analyze it.”

“I see well let’s get out of this place it gives me the creeps seeing as-“ Omega was cut off as a screen flashed on and a relatively huge face became visible. The face of Dr. Crimson, the head of the Disgaea institute. His name was taken from the unnatural amount of blood that seemed to coat his lab jacket and his face never seemed to change from his wide eyes creepy smile. He was also known for his horrendous jokes. There were no punch lines unless he was actually punching someone else. His jokes were cruel and dark.

“Well, look who we have here!” Crimson said with his ever wide smile. “Nice to see you Mr. failed experiment and Mr. loner.

“Shut it, Crimson!” Zero said as he stepped forward, “we don’t have time for your games!”

“Oh, but I think I can make time just for you.” Crimson replied as the steel doors behind the trio slammed shut. “No why don’t we get reacquainted? I am the prestigious Dr. Crimson of the Disgaea institute of science and technology. Now a quick joke. Why did the boy cross the street?”

Fried seemed confused but Omega and Zero seemed obligated to answer. “He couldn’t because the mad doctors were experimenting on him and his was dying from pain!” Omega shouted.

“He couldn’t because they locked him away and he went mad from the isolation! “ Zero yelled just as harshly.

“Both wrong!” shouted the joyous doctor. “He crossed the street to buy ice cream from successfully experimenting on another human, and making another one go mad with isolation.”

Omega stepped forward saying. “What do you want, you mad doctor? I have seen enough of you during testing! You make me sick!”

Fried was at this point thoroughly confused. “What’s going on?” He asked.

Dr. Crimson smile seemed to increase at that. “Oh did they not tell you? Then let me filled in the blanks for you.” A myriad of shouts came from both Zero and Omega but the crazed doctor continued nevertheless. “The experiment here was to create the next dueling prodigy. The process was to take our subject and boost their level of dueling to its highest. This process took far too long so we decided a… catalyst would be more efficient in bringing out potential.”

“A CATAYSLIST? WE BOTH KNOW WHAT YOU USED ON THE SUBJECTS!” Omega yelled out. Dr. Crimson seemed to chuckle to himself. Fried frowned. “There is no chemical that can increase a duelist’s potential.”

“Very good young man,” Crimson acknowledged, “That is why we created one. We needed something that could potentially boost a person’s abilities and duel skills as well.” At this Omega and Zero shivered apparently too afraid to speak up. Fried asked instead. “What was used?”

The doctor turned to face Fried. “We used the blood of a very famous duelist, care to hazard a guess?”

Fried face paled. “You’re lying…..”

Dr. Crimson threw his head back and laughed. “That’s right we faked the death of the world famous Jaden Yuki and kidnapped him. We extracted his blood and experimented with it, quite amazing stuff.” Fried, Zero and Omega stayed in shocked silence as the mad doctor continued. “Oh course, we couldn’t hold him for long, he escaped a month later, but we had all the blood samples we need to continue the tests. We modified it for months and finally deemed it ready. We found his blood gave our patients quite an array of abilities. For example, their eyes can change color and their iris changed as well. They can communicate with spirit monsters and see them even if their try to hide their presence. Finally their dueling skill was superb! They would be considered prodigies of the world!”

The doctor seemed to lose some light in his eyes a this. “But, the experiment was a complete failure. The effects lasted only a month if not only a few weeks. All our progress seems at a loss.” At this the doctor seemed to perk up again. “Then, we had our final subjects.” Omega and Zero seemed to growl at this. “Both boys standing by you were given a higher form of the tonic we created. The effects never faded for them. They were each put through their own testing regiment. Omega was put though constant duels and has contact with others while Zero here was closed off from everyone.” The was a stunned silence in the room. Omega and Zero looked ashamed and Fried was too shocked to reply. “Well then how about another joke?” The doctor asked in his creepy voice. “What’s black and white and red all over?

Omega muttered, “A white boy who wears a black cloak that bleeds from the experiments done to him.

Zero spoke up saying “A white boy who is wears a red cloak covered in soot as his sits alone in his cell.”

Fried looked up at the screen and said questioningly “A newspaper?” At this Zero and Omega glared at his with a look saying ‘really?’ “What it was just a guess.” Fried shrugged.

“You are all wrong,” Dr. Crimson stated. “The answer is three stupid duelists who were trapped in an exploding laboratory, that were foolish enough to wait while a genius doctor stalled for TIME! At this an explosion occurred in the far side of the lab shaking the building.

“DAMNIT!” yelled Omega as he summoned Shien who promptly sliced the metal door blocking them.

“RUN!” The three companions raced from the lab and leap into the awaiting boat. As Zero reeved the engine and shot away from the island all they could here were the explosions as the Disgaea institute disintegrated into dust.

Huffing and puffing at the far end of a boat speeding away from a James Bond worthy explosion, Fried couldn't help but feel a bit shaken. He looked up to see Omega and Zero were just as enraged.

"Listen, Fried." Omega started, "It's a lot to take in for now, but it wasn't-"
"Let's get two things straight!" Fried cut him off, "One, The next time I'm walking OUT of a base, you do not take me back IN to the base!"
"Understood..." Omega muttered under his breath.
"Secondly...." Fried said, calming down, "I know what happened with Jaden's blood isn't your fault. So don't get too pent up about it. For now, let's get back to my dorm, and analyze the data that Charger compiled. The info he's sorting right now! Right?!"
"I'm on it...jeez!" Charger responded with a snide attitude.
"Anyway." Fried continued, "Now I really want to take that Crimson Doctor son-of-a-bitch down a few pegs. You two interested?"

After traveling for hours the trio arrived back on the island. Immediately they could tell something was off.

"Hey," said Zero as he carefully got out of the boat.... "do you guys feel that?"

Omega nodded once in response, "Something is amiss."

Fried nodded in agreement.

The three walked up toward the academy when they all stopped in their tracks.

"You guys do see that right?" asked Zero warily as he pointed at a tree.

The tree he was pointing to, for all intensive purposes, looked dead. The bark and branches were pure white, while the leaves that surrounded it were brown and dead looking. It seemed if the very soul of the tree had been banished to the underworld.

A student stood under the tree, and he took notice of the three and walked towards them.

He said, "ZERO RIGHT?" in what seemed like a mechanical voice, like he was programmed to do so.

"Who's asking?" spat Zero.

"DUEL" stated the student as he activated his duel disk. Zero copied the motion.

Zero said, "i will go fir...." but was interrupted by the opposing player yelling, "DRAW!"

Omega frowned, "Something is not right here."

Zero narrowed his eyes, this didn't look good at all.

The student looked at his hand then said, "I play....."

"This is bad..." Fried said.
"Agreed." Omega said, before sharing a concerned nod.

But they weren't worried about Zero; no...he could handle himself.

They were much more concerned about the person he was dueling. The "academy member" may have been in a slifer red blazer. But he seemed to be anything but a duelist. Accompanying his robotic voice, his skin was pale; and his movements looked...lifeless. Any action he took lacked soul and motivation.

Even more so, his eyes were...dead. Bleak, pure white, and more soulless than his movements; his eyes gave the feel that something was definitely amiss.

Finally, Zero had brought the duel to a close. No match, but even still. His deck was an odd Macro Cosmos banishing deck. Not many have defense against an empty grave deck. But Zero made it out with 1500 LP left.

"Well..that was different." Zero sighed, making his way back to Omega and Fried.
"I think it's fair to say Blue was the tip of the iceberg..." Fried said, "Looks like the Society of Light is on to us."
"That was already established." Omega commented from the side.
"That's not the point. They've even more powerful than ever. And Macro Cosmos is hard to combat..." Fried sneered, "Let's just get back to my room. By now, Charger has finished sorting data. We'll be able to develop a counter-attack once we know what we're up against."
"Gotcha." Omega said, following Fried back to the Ra Yellow dorms.

*mean while as me and violet walk towards the entrance of the academy *

Me: ugh Why is it so dead here like no ones around in the lunch room and even in the class room what the heck is going on

Violet: hmm seems like something suspicious is going on in this island maybe I should check if there is anyone around

Me: tch hopefully they're not on spring break or something I was hoping for some fun*scratches head*

Violet: Remember our mission Sempai*she opens her book as the pages glows showing the area*

Me: ya I know jezz why u ha...*my eyes turn wide then I cover her book* Vi put the book away looks like we found some ppl

Violet:Hmmm *she looks up and see the duel that hust ended*oh shoot *she closes her book then it disappears*

Me: Come on lets hide and follow them to see how this plays out*I point at the huge pillars at the entrance*

Violet: ok but eddie that human that just lost...

Me: ya I know

“Charger, you have the data ready?” Omega asked with a hint of urgency in his voice.

Charger peeked out from Fried disc and smartly replied “This is a lot more difficult than it looks.”

Omega in a surprisingly childish voice repeated “This is a lot more difficult than it looks.”
Charger frowned, “Are you copying me?”

“Are you copying me?”
Charger racked his brain for a minute then smirked. “Fried is a God, I only take orders from Fried.”

Omega frowned at this, “Is the data ready yet?” Fried snickered at this while Zero simply rolled his eyes.

Fried spoke up at this point, “Charger, if you would be so kind we are on a tight schedule.”

Charger nodded and started to project lots of data on to the wall via his eyes. “I sorted out the information Fried asked for from the usual worthless trash. The main two items of interest were the Dueling prodigy experiment and the Society of Light research. Which do you want first?”

Fried looked between the two boys silently asking permission to pursue the first option and Omega simply nodded once in response. “Taking out all the data from what we heard from Crimson in the lab, what other info is there on the Dueling prodigy experiments?” Fried asked.
Charger’s eyes flickered momentarily as he processed and brought up the stored data. “To be honest, nothing much. Aside from extra bits on the tonic that was used and such the doctor was fairly detailed in his speech. “

“What about Jaden?” Zero asked, “where is he?”

“All I have is that Jaden Yuki escaped is currently on the run. Even these guys don’t have a clue where he is.” Charger replied. “If that is all I will move on to the Society of light data I collected. They want to fuse our world with the duel world for easier world domination. The plan is to control duelists and harvest the energy given off in duels and create a portal. From there they will go in between world harvesting energy till the worlds become one.”
The three companions frowned. They had gotten no new information with that. Zero then spoke up.

“Wait if that is all they had then, is there another lab somewhere?” His two companions shivered at the thought. Omega had no plans of running out of an exploding lab again anytime soon.

“Anything else?” Charger asked. Omega perked up at this. “Actually there is. Dr. Crimson always left the lab precisely at 1:46 every day, what was he up to?” Charger froze at this. “I have the answer, but you won’t like it.” Omega rolled his eyes. “Just tell me, I can handle it.” Charger seemed to shrug and answered back, “getting ice cream.” The room was dead silent for a solid minute before Omega spoke in a quiet voice, “O-o-o-oh, thanks for the info.” Charger nodded once and dove back into the disc. Fried sighed as he moved to sit on his bed.

“Well it feels like we are back to square one. We didn’t learn anything new and we have no new leads to go on.”

“I won’t say that,” Zero said as he held up his PDA. The two looked closer to see it was a live video announcement from the school. As the two grabbed their own devices the message started and a strikingly familiar face was on screen. “Hello to all, My name is Doctor Crimson and I challenge the academy of Hero break to a DUELING WAR! I will be sending in my personal students to the island and all you have to do is survive the duels for three days but if you don’t….well let’s just say you will see the world in a new light. The troops will become in tomorrow. I will end in a joke. What is large formidable but will die in a few days?”

Fried and Omega stared horrified at their PDA while Zero muttered “Please be the dinosaurs, please be the dinosaurs.”

“The answer is Hero-Break Duel ACADEMY!”

WARNING-WARNING this is not a drill. You all will be challenge but both Gale and I under the “influence of light.” We will use a modified deck that is not meta in anyway. Be warned if you lose you become a member of the light! Get ready to duel!

"Fried!" Charger shrieked, almost leaping out of his disc, interrupting the warning Dr. Crimson had just let out.

He capture the attention of all three in the group before Fried asked, "What? What's wrong?!"
"There was an encrypted file on the disc that I just decoded."

"Well?!" Omega and Zero shouted, almost in unison, "What is it?!"

Charger flickered his eye and brought up the decoded data on the wall again. It displayed a loading screen for what seemed to be a video.
"This can't be good..." Fried muttered.

As it started up. The three heard only one thing. A drum set started to go off wildly in the background as someone started to snap on screen in an odd montage.
"Never gonna give you up! Never gonna let you down! Never gonna run aronud and...desert you! Never gonna make you cry; never gonna say goodbye! Never gonna tell a lie...and hurt you!"

The three stood, mouth's wide open at the prank Crimson had played so seamlessly on. them.

Fried's fist quivered before he pointed it towards the nearest P.A. system.

"You can beat me as much as you'd like. Destroy the academy. Even merge this world with the next..." He stopped for a moment, "BUT NO ONE!" He slammed his foot down, and banged his fist against the wall, leaving a dent and cracks running throughout the impact zone, "NO ONE!" He shouted once more, repeating the process, "NO ONE!!! RICK ROLL'S ME!!! I'LL KILL YOU, DOCTOR CRIMSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!!!!!"

*meanwhile outside Violet holding her book wide open showing Fried and the other 3 ppl*

Me: So looks like we came into this world at the wrong time Tch *Punches a tree as it falls to the ground as my disguise form comes off*

Violet: Actually your wrong sempai *closes her book and her she becomes her monster self also* we found out that the a group of human splinter group plans to merge the world into one and use the energy of duelists and that leads to a whole bunch of trouble in both of our worlds

Me: tell me about it duelist that can contact our people will also get affected by the drain causing even greater damage on the duelist and the person in contact *sighs*well then our observe mission has became a Contact mission Vi

Violet: but sempai u can't issue that order only the master can issue it* she closes her book shut and looks at me in anger*

Me: actually my father told me if something huge was about to affect or world that we change I can issue that order

Violet:Alright I believe u eddie but first lets contact priestess about or findings

Me: that what I was going to do *opens my book and junon is at full view reading a white book* Preistess!! *she jumps as I call her name and falls to the ground but gets back and smiles*

Junon: aww it's u eddie *she smiles* well what do u need cutie pie

*when violet heard her she just burst out in another laughing fit*

Violet: hahaha really Junon hahaha

Me: *sighs* junon we need to give u important information

*time passes as we tell here what conspired*

Junon: I see well then you do have the right to Intervene and also here a spell so when u duel someone they won't get drained

*our books glow as the spell fills up a blank page*

Junon: now if anything else happens Contact Me asap

Me & violet: understood

Junon: well I'm off to tell the master but eddie if anything give me a call*winks and she disappears*

Me: damn it even when she's serous she still flirts with me *sighs*

Violet: aww come on sempai cheer up *she pats me on the back and Smiles* this mission got a little more fun

Me: I guess your right *smiles*

*Both our stomach growls*

Me:only if we kind find a place to eat ugh

Violet:maybe tomorrow the cafeteria will be open*smiles* now lets change back before anything happens
